Hey to everyone out there.

A couple of days ago someone sent me a message in regards to my ball tanks. They wanted to know what I used as the basis for the tanks;( the ball). As I was attempting to answer the question when my computer decided to shut down and update my OP/SYS. Well I lost the reply and the name and D/A address for the person who had asked the question. Being all old and such I immediately forgot who it was XO. So I thought I would put the Information up here in hopes that the chap who was looking for the info sees it.

The balls that I use are styrene, fire works, mortar shell, halves. I get them on line from fire works supply sites. I have used three different sizes:

large........95 mm/dia.
medium....67 mm/dia.
small........42 mm/dia.

I don't know if you have access to these types of fire works supplies where you live. I am in the USA, and I think the question came from someone in Sweden.

If you can not acquire these, there must be some other type of "balls" that could be pressed into service. I hope this helps. Anyone with questions,(or answers) please feel free to contact me.

regards,

...b

Curious what you consider southern Illinois.  I live in Cobden and work in Carbondale [SIU].  We might could be neighbors or something.

More importantly, wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed eyeballing your creations.  Got a real talent for the absurd, dude [that's a compliment, by the way].

Hey Rich,

Nice to meet ya. I am not really in southern Il. to you, as I am way up north in Mt. Vernon. It's still southern Il. to me, and it beats the hell out of Joliet! Wish I was down in the Shawnee though.

Hey, thanks for the kind words brother. Love that copy of Mal's piece,ya got there.

Don,t be a stranger, check out  my site once in a while, I am always working on something new to post.

thanks again for the words,

later,

bill

N/P, I don't know how you do it, but your work is just amazing!  And I see we are almost neighbors, lol, I live in Mt Vernon, Il. Sorry to hear about your housing issues, I hate moving even when it's planned. Good luck with what ever you do.

regards,
